The Curse Of Otzi, The Murdered Ice Man
The discovery of Mitzi The Murdered Iceman in 1991 should have been something of a revaluation. But the discovery of this incredibly preserved little guy has had nothing but dire consequence. Surrounded with death and mystery coming into contact with Otzi has terrified even the most logical of men and for good reason.
September 1991, two German tourists Helmut and Erika Simon are hiking through the Otztal Alps when they came across what looked like a torso face down in the melted snow.
Thinking they had found the remains of a fellow mountaineer they hurried to call the police. It took 2 weeks to fully excavate Otzi, him and a number of cloths and tools.
In the past these finds have been historical and relatively easy. Dig up corpse, study for a while, put on display in a glass case, simple. However little did Helmut or his sister know they would be in the center of a series of paranormal events all caused by this ancient discovery.
Otzi as he was found by the hiking siblings.
Helmut himself was the 4th victim of Otzis curse. Going missing 2004 only to be found face down in a Austrian ravine after falling 300ft from a peak.
The first victim however was a forensic pathologist who was the first to touch Otzi with bare skin died in a car crash. Experts say it looked like he just had swerved purposely into the colliding object.
A number of deaths followed in Otzi´s wake. Some more gruesome. But ofcourse enter the critics.
Otzi after being placed in the laboratory.
So speculation around this little frozen guy that he is the 3000 year old equivalent of JZ. The media, scientists, skeptics all laughed after the proposal that Otzi carried a death bringing curse.
But what happens when you bring up some more historic corpse excavations that have had similar circumstances.
The Pharaoh Tutankhamen for instance. Following his discovery the entire team died. Its easy enough to peace together ancient king of an ancient culture known for its black magic and protective of there corpse and possessions even after death. Why wouldn’t they carry some sort of curse.
But then why would this nomad carry a curse ? He obviously died from a trip or from the weather conditions in a time where a common cold could kill you.
Where’s this nomads gonads!?
Turns out after alot of study that Otzi had a wound from an arrowhead in his back and he was also missing what some would say is the most crucial part of his manhood ( his nuts ).
Of course murder is on the cards. Shot in the back then buried in a trench by the murderer. However during this time period and in this region it was a normal practice to sacrifice a person to the mountain gods and removing there testicles was the defining factor some historical experts. He was also found buried with a copper axe thought to be the very tool used to part Otzi from his danglers.
The objects found with Otzi
We see what happens following murder and even more so with sacrifice. Locations with a history of sacrifice such as The Ancient Ramm Inn turn out to be among the haunted in the world. Or objects such as Ed Geins Cauldron that have been part of a murder or sacrificial ritual are always mysteriously surrounded with death.
So it wouldn’t seem to different to other such cases and with the same results. Of course circumstance is circumstance and this may never be really proven. But if you dont believe it why dont you try tickling Otzi although i´m not to sure he would laugh.
How Otzi looked in life.
