The abandoned Barton Mansion is considered one the most haunted houses in America. Built on an ancient Indian burial ground, and with mortar for this house being made up from the very same earth these ancient American’s were buried in. In 2001 a small group of four teenagers decided they would explore the shell of the Barton Mansion to see if it was really haunted. Their first visit, they found a piece of raw meat lying on the floor on the basement floor… in the center of a circle of stone. Funny enough this wasn’t enough to make them leave, just yet anyway. They eventually left, after realizing that the higher they went, the hotter the house was getting, freaked out by this they left, until the next day…
The next night, two of the teenagers returned and decided to go upstairs bringing a camera with them and they see what looks like a body lying through the crack of the door, but then what happens next is unbelievably creepy… They react to a shuffling sound directly to their left and see a large figure standing in the door looking directly at them. The figure looks to have a skeleton white face, tall and thin in the body but his bottom half is fuzzy. The scream but in the split second of terror, you can actually see the figure move back into the room. Needless to say, they run for it… However, is this a ghost? Is this video just another hoax? Whatever it is, various true experts have had a look at the scene and confirm that this is indeed paranormal.

The history of the Barton mansion is a dark one… It began Dr. Ben Barton in 1859 when the doctor bought a piece of land at a massive discount because it was an ancient Indian burial ground. But being a man of science he simply laughed this off and couldn’t believe his luck. He was warned by all of the locals not to build there…. but he event so far as to dig up the burial ground and use the clay in the bricks that actually built the house!
Shortly after the Barton Mansion was finished his family moved in. Just weeks afterward the doctors two young girls died… still nobody can figure out how they died… his wife was soon to follow.

Maddened with grief the doctor turned insane. He spent all of his time locked up in the house and became deeply involved with free masonry and satanic worship. After Dr. Barton’s death, which was under the same inexplicable circumstance, the house was left abandoned for decades.
Of course, stories started to arise of the mad doctor and his haunted house, which led daring teens to break in and explore. Countless dead bodies where found thought to be victims of the doctor in all his insanity.

But after a lot of research and phone calls, turns out the rumors are true… About the doctor and the land it was built on and the materials used to build the Barton Mansion.
Over the years since the mansion’s desertionm, people have reported seeing strange groups entering the property in the night, robed figures coming in and out. But when the police arrive they are gone but only find strange symbols and often altars scattered around the place.

Indian burial grounds, normally come with a curse to those who disturb it, as was part of the customs. We see it all over the world, some of the most haunted locations with what seems to be demonic activity can be traced back to have some relation with these pagan burial sites. In England, we see witchcraft or pagan worshiping sites. In America, the native Americans aswell as witches have their own sites of death.
Not to mention the fact that the doctor himself preformed satanic rituals and possibly used this house to murder and then store bodies of unwary victims. All of this in itself would be more than enough to attract the attention of something/somethings demonic…. this followed by years of the occult preforming their rituals inside.
