Ghost Hunting At Aberdeen Central Library
Once in awhile a location comes along that is untouched. With a location where previously the dead have had no method of communication they rise like a storm and produce phenomenal amounts of activity. The Central Library is such a location. With years upon years of reports of strange things happening we had to dig deeper.
The Main Library is a part of the location with a warm and welcoming feeling and is host to what people have to come to call the library angel. It seems that a unseen force guides people to the perfect source of information they where looking for. People have described been drawn to a certain corner or certain shelf and right in front of them is exactly the book they needed. On some accounts the book has actually dropped at there feet ! This to us suggests an intelligent haunting and something that will only be to happy to help investigators as it has helped people in the past. The sound of a bell is heard a lot in this part of the building also. Although the origins of the bell are unknown we can be sure that it is not a bell anywhere in the library.
There are three parts of the library that seem to be home for some reason to something a lot darker, and something defiantly alot more agressive.
The Children’s Room is home to a lot of unsettling activity various sounds there are constant knocks, footsteps and a feel of movement. Along with occasional screams or whistles and even a xylophone has been heard playing. Voices can be heard in the corners of this room in hushed conversation, but about what ? and on few more terrifying occasions bits of furniture and books and been flung across the room.
The Reference Library is also home to something a lot more negative, visitors avoid this part of the building as it has an overwhelming atmosphere that induces terror for no good reason. Electronic equipment drains for no good reason here. But there is something else here that makes you worry for whomever it is. A woman’s voice can sometimes be very faintly heard and has been picked up on the evp recorders a lot. She calls out ” Help ” or ” Hello” in an attempt to communicate with whoevers listening. Is this the women allowing you to feel the fear she is feeling to draw you in ? or is it something else drawing you in more reasons more sinister.
The West Side basement is hands down the nastiest part of the building. There is a unsettling feeling down there and it grows the longer you stay. As if something’s going to jump out on you at any given moment. There is also a strong smell of sulphur that comes and goes down here. That particular smell is associated with demonic forces, so not a good sign. Footsteps can be heard rushing around you and movement of shadows dances around your vision. There is also a sense that your every movement is being watched down there. On one occasion a large ball of light rose from the ground and passed straight through a man’s chest, leaving him buzzing with energy and it was witnessed by a group of fellow investigators. Basements tend to be home to things a lot darker for reasons unknown, is it the dark and the damp like we see in scary movies ? or is it because they draw from the energies of the earth underneath. Both are credible theories, but like any unexplored region, they need to be explored !
Aberdeen Central library is an intriguing location. Not a lot of attention is given to this building from the paranormal community. More investigation is without a doubt needed here. But why is there is dark force in the basement ? What dark secrets are hidden away ? We can only dig deeper and see what we discover.
Ghosts of Aberdeen Central Library
. Georgie Milner Fraser
. A women, Origin Unknown
. A Dark Energy
The Central Library of Aberdeen is no doubt a haunted location. Little is known about its paranormal happenings, but even less is known about the forces that still reside within.
George Milner Fraser was the old librarian at the Central library. He dedicated his life to the library constantly trying to make it better for the visitors. It would seem that even after death he is still doing so. Dubbed the library angel George guides the visitors to the books the need and gives the main library and warm and welcoming atmosphere.
There is a female presence in the reference library, but there is no record of any deaths or nasty goings on with any women in the library at all. The sense of terror felt in this part of the building has no trace back to something that could have happened. The woman’s voice has been caught on numerous occasions crying out for help, trying to communicate with passers by.
There is a dark presence felt in the children’s room and down in the west side basement. But again no trace back as to why it might be there. The strong smell of sulpher down in the basement comes and goes, but that smell in particular is paired with demonic manifestations. Demons also come in the form of children to try and gain our sympathy and create a bond. This almost gives it permission to make your life a living hell. Whatever is down there we can’t wait to go and find out.
Tho at first glance the library does seem an inviting building, its old stone walls and maze of ancient books. But everywhere has its secrets and one thing is for sure. If there truly is a demon in this location then something has happened here that is either undiscovered or hidden. Time to investigate.
